There is a combination of montage and continuity used throughout the music video. Montage being a variety of images taken from media photographs or a film.
Continuity however, is when each shot in a film carries on from the last. The jump cuts show the chaos of the scene and the cinematographers trying to keep up with the action. The audience is also being dragged along in an attempt to try and comprehend the reality of what Europe is facing according to the director, Romain Gavras.
A hand held camera is being used to show long, medium and close up shots. There are often lower angled and flat eyeline angles to ensure the youth gain the higher status, as well as to put the audience on edge. The gang most definitely achieved an unsteady atmosphere as I felt uneasy throughout watching the music video which lasted for 6.49 minutes. The black and white effect used to shoot the video suggests that a dark and threatening mood is being set. The camera is constantly having to keep up with the action and therefore states that it features a documentary style.

MUSIC VIDEO 2 - A TEAM BY ED SHEERAN
I chose to analyse this music video because I felt it followed a similar storyline to my music video, of a girl who appears to be vulnerably housed.
The music video was filmed using both hand held and static cameras. This displays the documentary style in which it has been filmed, and it is made up of a series of continuity shots which helps the video to flow.
In post-production the colouring of the video has been changed to black and white to enhance the mood of depression and helplessness the girl is feeling.

MUSIC VIDEO 3 - FEATHERSTONE BY THE PAPER KITES
There are a variety of techniques used within this music video. One technique in particular that has been used with effect is jump cuts.
The jump cuts used portray media shots and close ups of the characters. Through using this techhnique the audience are enabled to see each character's facial expression at different times. The camera cleverly pans out to medium shots and long shots in order to keep the pace of the music video slow.
The video starts with the camera at a low level, it then slowly rises revealing the young child's feet and animal furred costume. The children are constantly being followed by the camera which is in a medium tracking shot, allowing the audience to identify their surroundings. As well as a medium tracking shot, there are many close-ups to help create a relationship between the audience and characters.

Editing within my music video:
Our music video 'Not At Home' includes both montage and continuity editing. I feel all three music videos I have analysed have helped give my group an idea of how we'd liked ours to be edited, as well as perhaps allowing us to understand some of the ways videos are edited, and would not suit the genre and style we are hoping to convey to our audience.
In my opinion I feel as though the 'A Team by Ed Sheeran and 'Featherstone' by The Paper Kites have influenced our music video due to their established use of continuity editing. Therefore, we hope that the continuity editing we have applied to our music video is sustained. Continuity editing we felt worked extremely well for our storyline, in which we follow the journey of a single mum and her three year old daughter who are vulnerably housed.
