How is Genre portrayed in the music video 'Stress'?
'Stress' would come under the genre of observational documentary because it seems as if nothing is being staged for the audience's entertainment, but instead shows that similar situations e.g. vandalism and burglaries happen all the time and so quickly. It is also known for being a reflexive documentary as well (making the audience aware it's a film). This is cleverly conveyed to the audience through the ongoing use of eye contact the youth make with the camera.
As witnessed by the audience, the cameraman struggles to keep up with the continuous vandalism the group of youth are causing and therefore appears to shake the camera, resulting in amateur looking footage. The song reflects the mood of violence, destruction and chaos. This can clearly be seen by the body language of the youngsters.
